It was a time in my life when I needed to escape into something rich and visually delicious. I began playing with some hand rolled pastels. A Red-Orange Tulip became my initial muse. Many more floral pastel drawings came afterwards, however, the loose open bloom of the tulip was for me, a start contrast to my then present state of mind.
These are printed reproductions of the original hand rolled pastel on paper.
