Hi, I’m Ezra, I’m 16 years old and I have two dogs at home. Several years ago I attended a camp at Nuzzles and Company where we made dog and cat toys for the animals there to play with.
One day, on the way home from camp, I asked if I could make dog toys at home as well and my mom said yes, as long as I found materials to make them with that were not commercial. I was only 8 years old when I started Pupcycle Pet Toys.
I want to protect our planet so I decided to use materials that were going to be thrown away. My products are made of about 98% up-cycled materials. These are materials that have been used for one purpose and are now being used for something different.
I source as many of my materials as possible, locally, by reaching out to friends, family and the Christian Center for used jeans, t-shirts and other materials. I get my used climbing rope from neighborhood clean-ups, neighbors who are climbing enthusiasts and local climbing gyms. I get my “dead” tennis balls from the Park City MARC.
