Hugo Coffee Roasters is a friendly small-batch roaster located in Park City, Utah. Hugo was started in February 2014 by Claudia McMullin and in August 2015 she hired head roaster, John Lynn, and they spent the next four months perfecting their signature Hugo Coffee Roasts. Hugo Coffee offers an elevated coffee experience with the highest quality, ethically and sustainably harvested beans, meticulous roasting and hands on customer care possible. The inspiration and face of the company is Hugo himself! While running what was formerly known as Friends of Animals Rescue eight years ago, Claudia fostered Hugo, a mixed breed American Bulldog/hound/other-miscellaneous-breed(s) puppy, and ended up adopting him. Hugo is a strong boy, both in personality and in body, so the Black Paw French Roast is the perfect cuppa joe to get his morning started. Hugo is full of energy and often joins his parents for a run, swim or bike ride. Otherwise Hugo typically works (read: naps) from home. He is the perfect, lovable face for Hugo Coffee, the local, small batch roasting company committed to supporting dog rescue with every cup. Hugo, Ruby and Claudia At the opposite end of the canine spectrum is Hugo’s adopted sister, Ruby. Ruby is a Lab/Pyranees mix and is a sweet, loyal and caring senior lady. She is tried and true and appreciates the same qualities in her favorite coffee, Bonafido Dark Roast. She guards her parents from the rambunctious Hugo and is never shy about keeping her famous brother in check. Rivers, our favorite super mutt, came back from the Navajo Reservation with Nuzzles and Co. and when he met head roaster, John Lynn, it was love at first sight! Rivers got his name because John is an avid fly fisherman and outdoorsman and when they aren’t outside Rivers can be found helping his dad come up with new coffee roasts or cheering on the LSU football team! Rivers has grown up to be a sophisticated gentleman and continues to learn “New Tricks” which is, coincidentally, his favorite Hugo Coffee Blend. Rivers and John At Hugo We love coffee and dogs, and not necessarily in that order. Hugo Coffee donates 10% of it’s profits to dog rescue organizations, including Best Friends Animal Society in Utah and Nuzzles & Co. Additionally, we collaborate with our retail partners on adoption and education events and hold our own fundraisers for give back. We donated a total of $8,000 in 2018 and $12,000 in 2019. If you’ve bought a bag of Hugo Coffee, we thank you for having helped us provide: 4,102 Meals, 174 Spay/Neuter operations, 2,790 vaccines, 996 dog beds
