“I wrote and drew this book for my wife to celebrate her birthday. The thought that we can separate ourselves for something that should be good, hence the four-leaf clover, provided the spark. Then I remembered that my wife is such a huge fan of dandelions that they were part of our wedding vows. Some of those lines made their way into this book. Lastly, I wondered what would happen when we combined the two, if something so beautiful and rare as a four-leaf clover met something so bold and fearless as a dandelion.
